Johanna Sinisalo Nominated for Nebula
Science Fiction Awards Watch has the nominees for the Nebulas. And on the list is Johanna Sinisalo’s excellent novelette Baby Doll, which has appeared in the SFWA European Hall of Fame anthology (and other places too). Congratulations, Johanna!

This is fantabulous! For Johanna of course but it's also a landmark for Finnish SF. I wonder if there are any other nominees that are translated, not originally written in English?
The piece of news was picked up also by the mainstream media -- for example Uusi Suomi reports. it.
Apparently The Finnish national news agency, STT, did a short news item on this, so it's probably been all over the Finnish media field. I saw the news in Turun Sanomat and on the YLE web.
